It may have been a bitter cold morning across the Stateline, but many who were up to see the sun saw a spectacular view in the sky. Sundogs! Sundogs form as a result of the sun's rays being refracted by ice crystals in the atmosphere. They're usually caused by cirrus clouds high in the sky, but ice crystals were still present in the lower atmosphere because of the blowing snow and cold temperatures!
