4:30 pm Update:  Watching some storms pop to the southwest of Rockford through Ogle and Lee counties.

Tornado Watch continues for all of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.  Storms continue to fire to the north, west and east of the immediate Stateline area this afternoon.  The storms moving through Chicago and points south have formed along an old gravity wave boundary from early this morning.  Storms to the north in Wisconsin are developing closer to the main area of low pressure while the storms in Iowa are forming ahead of the cold front.

The storms in eastern Iowa have been moving fairly slow to the east/northeast around 30-35 mph.  One storm just south of Cedar Rapids continues to show signs of tornadic activity as tornado warnings continue for Cedar and Johnson counties in Iowa.  The environment remains favorable for further storm development to the east across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  The threat for large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes will remain through the evening should any storms form out ahead of the front.  However, as the front moves closer and evening progresses the threat for tornadoes will decrease as the storms will likely form into a line with damaging winds and hail the primary threats.
