Drier pattern will help local river levels

With all the rain last week and the nearly two to three inches of rain many received from Sunday night and Monday night, local rivers, creeks and streams have been on the rise.  Good news:  a drier weather pattern setting up will keep most of the rain at bay through the start of the weekend which should allow those rising rivers to begin to drop.

Most of the rivers remain below minor flood stage, but are expected to stay in action stage over the next day or two.

Here are the current river levels from the Pecatonica, Rock and Kishwaukee.  For the latest and most updated river levels, click here.

Flood Advisories continue for the following rivers: Pecatonica River at Shirland, Rock River at Byron, Rockton and Dixon.
