A low pressure system dropping out of Canada this morning is bringing light to moderate snow across the Stateline. Overall, totals won't be extremely high but through the afternoon we could see up to 1.5" into the afternoon. Snow showers will overall be light and occasional but within some of the showers, moderate snow will also fall. Within the more moderate bands, visibility will be reduced as low at 0.5 miles at times. This is due to the snow falling as well as gutsy northwest winds, up to about 30mph. You'll want to take it slower within those bands because of the reduced visibility and slick roads.
We will get a lull in the snow through this afternoon, before snow picks up again this evening, with a potent wave of energy rotating around behind the low pressure system. This could allow snow totals up to 2 inches into Tuesday morning.
Come Tuesday morning the snow will be coming to an end, however the commute could be slick for some with the snow lingering through about 9/10am. The rest of the day will be cloudy, colder, and windy too.
