While we will be focused on the severe weather threat this evening, I did want to give up a heads up that Wednesday will be a very windy day. A High Wind Watch will go into effect at 1am tonight for our western counties, 8am for the rest of the Stateline, and continue through 8pm Wednesday night. The low that is bringing the storms tonight will strengthen evening more in southern Wisconsin tonight, thus strengthening the gradient and bringing gusty winds. Winds tomorrow will be sustained from the WSW at 20-30mph but winds will be gusting even higher. Wind gusts look to reach as high as 55-60mph. This is strong enough to cause some damage to the exterior portions of your house, knock down tree limbs, and even allow for dangerous traveling for high profile vehicles. Winds will die town on Thursday.
