The worst of the freezing rain and sleet has pushed east, but some leftover freezing drizzle has lingered throughout the morning. During much of the afternoon, we should see a lull in the action. Late afternoon and into the evening hours more freezing rain/rain moves into the area. We should be warmer than last night and this morning, so more of a rain/freezing rain should be expected.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 9am for some leftover freezing drizzle.
After the lull in the action, the entire viewing area goes back under a Winter Weather Advisory from 6pm tonight until 6am Thursday.
The leftover freezing drizzle is hard to see on satellite and radar, but you can definitely see the worst has pushed off to the east.
Ice Ice Baby! The freezing rain and sleet left an icy mess on sidewalks, driveways, parking lots and secondary roadways. It also left a dangerous coating on the trees and you car's windshield/windows.
As you can see from our Window World, from you window... Alice's view of the sidewalk and roadways were rather icy.
Some across the Stateline even saw lightning and thunder mixed in with the freezing rain/sleet.
These views of the sunrise and setsets from Dawn and Steve are beaultiful.
