First week of July stays below average

Temperatures over the holiday weekend reached the low 80's, but even those numbers didn't reach our average high of 85 degrees.  And achieving that average high the first week of July was hard to do.

Today was no different as the high only reached 71 degrees in Rockford.  Thursday will be another cool afternoon, but that cool trend may be ending - at least in the short-term - this weekend.  Highs could warm into the upper 80's, but that may come with the threat for thunderstorms.  More on that coming up in a later post.
