Wednesday Morning's Commute Could be a little Slick

Skies will fill with cloud cover Tuesday evening ahead of low pressure that will bring light snow to much of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois after Midnight. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued north of the immediate Stateline, where up to three inches of snow could fall by morning.

A dusting, up to an inch or two, will be possible from southern Wisconsin to northern Illinois - down to roughly Highway 38. South of there the
snow likely won't accumulate to much. Temperatures Tuesday evening will fall into the 20s late in the evening, climbing close to 30 degrees by sunrise Wednesday morning. While the amounts won't be too significant locally, there could be a few slick spots early Wednesday morning before the transition over to light rain after 8am. You'll likely want to give yourself a little extra time during the morning commute.

Skies will remain mostly cloudy during the
afternoon Wednesday with a few light showers redeveloping along a cold front early Wednesday evening. Those could mix in with some light snow during the evening before drying out heading into Thursday morning.
