The weather the remainder of the week should remain fairly quiet, but just like some experienced Tuesday night, even the slightest disturbance within the atmosphere could put a few kinks in the forecast.
High pressure will dominate the skies Wednesday afternoon with temperatures climbing into the low 30's. Clouds will be on the increase overnight into Thursday with a weak wave moving within the jet stream. While moisture will be fairly limited in the atmosphere, there does remain a slight chance for a few flurries - especially across southern Wisconsin - Thursday.
High pressure moves back into the Midwest
Thursday, but as a developing low pressure system moves into the Ohio River Valley Friday morning, a few light rain showers are not out of the question south of Rockford. Each model run that comes in has been shifting the moisture on Friday a little further north and if high pressure is slow to move in, it's possible there could be a light wintry mix Friday morning. Another cold front swings through Sunday night with cooler temperatures expected Monday. There could also be some light snow during the afternoon as well.
