Record Cold Likely This Week

Multiple records look like they will fall on Thursday thanks to the unusually cold weather.

With a forecast high of 4°, Thursday will more than likely set a new record cold high. The old record is 7° set back in 1959. This would also make Wednesday and Thursday the latest occurrence of back-to-back single digit highs ever for Rockford. The old record was set back in 1936, when we had single digit highs from February 15th through the 18th. -BA
