Even though we may have more cold, snow, sleet and freezing rain on the way, this week in Illinois is Severe Weather Preparedness Week. During this time, we want to raise awareness regarding severe weather, practice our severe weather safety plan (or develop a plan if there isn't one in place), and ensure we have an adequate way to monitor weather conditions and to know exactly where to go when severe weather threatens.
