Storm Threat Decreasing Tuesday Night

Very heavy rain and severe thunderstorms moved through southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois Tuesday morning, bringing nearly four to five inches of rainfall for some! Skies dried out during the afternoon with a little clearing late in the day. This gave temperatures a nice boost into the low to mid 80s.

The storm threat for Tuesday night continues to decrease locally as a cold front pulls through the Stateline. An isolated shower or thunderstorm will remain possible through sunset, but skies will turn partly cloudy during the overnight.

Dew point temperatures have warmed ahead of the front into the mid 70s, but have cooled behind the front into the low 60s. Drier air with a northwest wind will filter in tonight and Wednesday with highs on Wednesday warming back into the low 70s.
