Heat Advisory Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the entire Stateline viewing area from 11am Thursday through 7pm Friday. High temperatures in the low to mid-90s combined with dewpoints in the low-70s will produce heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees during the afternoon hours. So if you can, work or excercise outdoors in the early morning hours to avoid heat related illnesses. If you must work outside in the heat of the afternoon, take frequent water breaks and wear light-weight, light-colored clothing. Also, be sure to check on small children, the elderly, and pets as they are most susceptible to heat-related illnesses. Cooler, less-humid air will gradually work-in over the weekend.  --TS
