Hurricane Season About to "Amp-up"

Source: Accuweather.com
Thus far, the Atlantic Hurricane season has been slow to get started with only three named storms. But it's still early! The image at right tells us that the next two months (roughly August 15 - October 15) have been, historically, very active. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is now calling for 14-20 named storms this season. That's down slightly from the 14-23 named storms forecasted before the Atlantic hurricane season began, but still a pretty robust forecast. --TS
