Strong Winds Possible This Evening

A thin line of heavy showers associated with our next cold front is working its way through the Stateline, and it's packing some strong winds with it. Wind gusts of 50mph were reported when it moved through Iowa earlier this afternoon. The good news is these winds only last for a few minutes before dissipating.

If this line holds, it should impact Rockford between 5:30 and 6:00pm. Stay alert with this! A few showers will still be possible after this line moves through, but will have little impact on us heading into Friday.
