Weekend will stay mostly dry

Light snow will continue to move south and southeast of the immediate Stateline with only a few flurries possible later today as an upper level disturbance slides south.  The easterly winds we have this morning will continue to dry out the lower layers of the atmosphere so any snow that does try to make it north will likely evaportate before reaching the surface.  A cool and dry airmass has settled in over much of the Great Lakes and will keep the majority of the storm systems to the south.  The next system will move through Saturday afternoon and just like the one this morning will shy away from the Great Lakes.  Only a few flurries will be expected with this, if any.  The chilly weather, unfortunately, will continue straight through the middle to end of next week.
