Monday Night Severe Weather Update

12:20am Update: Severe T-Storm Watch has been canceled for the entire Stateline.

11:40pm Update: Strong wind gusts of up to 50mph will be possible on the back end of current storms. Here are some wind reports we've received from the National Weather Service:

Freeport (10:35pm): 59mph Gust
Janesville (11:25pm): 47mph Gust

11:11pm Update: Severe T-Storm Watch has been canceled for Jo Daviess, Carroll, Whiteside, and Stephenson. Watch remains in effect for the rest of the Stateline until 3:00am.

10:29pm Update: The Storm Prediction Center has issued a discussion that keeps the greatest wind threat to our east along the leading edge of this storm system. You can check out the full discussion here. This is great news for us. Looks like our severe threat will remain east through the rest of the night.

10:04pm Update: Several storms that are producing Storm Warnings are just to the south of the Stateline. We will continue to monitor these as they enter Lee and DeKalb counties.

9:42pm Update: Still no warnings for the Stateline. Interesting to note that the Storm Prediction Center is calling for more severe storms west and south of the Stateline, but leaving us out.

SPC Mesoscale Discussions for eastern Iowa and central Illinois

8:43pm Update: Storms now pushing into Whiteside and Lee Counties. No warnings are in effect, but strong winds of 50mph and 0.5" hail are possible with these storms. A Severe T-Storm Watch is in effect for the entire Stateline until 3:00am.
