Stormy Friday Night & Saturday Morning

Well we certainly had a busy last 24 hours with plenty heavy rainfall! Saturday morning a shelf cloud approached with a line of storms and some viewers sent in pictures. Thanks for sharing!

Some of our western counties had flash flooding late on Friday and early Saturday and most of the area got in on a significant amount of rainfall.

We've received questions from viewers asking if the standing water will stick around for long.  Luckily, it looks like we are entering a 24 hour reprieve from the rain, so most of the water should drain or evaporate on Sunday.  The only exception is if you are near certain rivers in Southern Wisconsin in which case it may take a few days for the water to recede. Only minor / low end moderate flooding is expected when the rivers crest. To find out if a river near you will crest in flooding stage, click here.
