Monday Afternoon Snow Update

3:45pm Update: Snow is now starting to push out of the Stateline, with the heaviest snow currently in southern Whiteside and Lee Counties. The bulk of the snow should be out of the Rockford metro by 4:00pm. The entire viewing area should be wrapping up with the snow after 5:00pm.

Despite the snow moving out, motorists should stay alert on the roads this evening. Fast falling temps could lead to slick spots on wet roadways.

Here are some snow reports we've received from the National Weather Service and our Weather Watchers:

Freeport - 1.2"
Shannon - 1.0"
Nora (Jo Daviess) - 1.0"
Sterling - 1.0"
Stockton - 0.8"
Apple River (Jo Daviess) 0.8"
Schapville (Jo Daviess) - 5.0"
Winslow (Stephenson) - 0.5"
Marengo - 0.5"
Elizabeth in Capron - 0.5"
