Monday Snow and Temperature Drop. Brrr!

Rain will fall Monday morning before switching over to snow during the afternoon.  The arrival of snow will come with a big temperature drop by Monday evening, so be sure to grab those winter jackets before leaving the house Monday morning!

Snow amounts for our area will be less than 0.5" before tapering off into the evening. Lake effect snow will impact the Chicago area, NW Indiana, and Michigan, with higher amounts there.

Monday night into Tuesday morning temperatures will drop into the teens! Although clear skies are in the forecast for Tuesday, highs will be below freezing as an Arctic blast affects the area. We will continue to feel that Arctic air into Wednesday morning, but with upper 30's for afternoon highs.

Recap:
8A.M.-NOON: Rain with flakes mixed in, temps in the mid to upper 30's.
NOON-5P.M.: Rain transitions into snow, temps drop below freezing into the upper 20's.
5P.M.-TUESDAY MORNING: Precipitation stops, skies clear, temps drop to the upper teens.
