Rain and Thunder in the Stateline

It felt a little like summer today with high temperatures in the upper 70s and even a few 80s this afternoon. But with the warmth comes a chance for rain and even a few rumbles of thunder for the Stateline. Tracking a line of storms currently moving into portions of Iowa. This line of storms extends through portions of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. The severe threat does stay to the west of northern Illinois tonight. The line will weaken as it tracks closer to northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin following a cold front. Rain will arrive very late tonight, and pre-dawn on Thursday. You may even hear a few rumbles of thunder early in the morning with most of the rain moving out around lunch time. Don't put the umbrella away too quickly though, we'll see scattered showers through the afternoon.
