Rain on the Way

What a wonderful weekend! Highs on Sunday warmed into the upper 60s and lower 70s to the south west. Hopefully you got to get out and enjoy it this weekend because there are big changes coming to the forecast, with multiple rain chances through Friday.

You won't need the umbrella to start out your day on Monday, skies will be partly cloudy as you head out the door and temperatures will be comfortable in the lower 40s. Temperatures will warm into the 60s, but clouds will increase through the afternoon with temperatures falling late in the day. Looking towards dinner time, around 6pm, rain chances greatly increase. Rain will devlelop in the plains late in the day on Monday and move east and overspread the Stateline later Monday evening.  Moisture is fed into the area with a strong low level jet, allowing the rain to last through the overnight with a few rumbles of thunder possible.  The showers will continue through Tuesday morning with off and on rain through Tuesday evening. Low pressure develops and moves through the plains firing up more rain and storms chances through the rest of the week. You'll want to keep the umbrella handy everyday this week, but it won't rain every hour of everyday!
