Elevated Fire Danger Monday

Winds behind a cold front Monday morning will increase from the west, gusting between 35-40 mph.  At the same time, drier air from Canada will cause dew points to drop from the middle 50's Sunday afternoon to the low 40's/upper 30's Monday afternoon.  The drop in dew point values will cause the relative humidity to fall as well.

With the drier conditions, an elevated fire danger will be in place Monday.  This means no burning and use caution if out in the fields as sparks from the combines could cause field fires with the dry corn and soybeans.
