Hold onto your hats!

Hold onto your hats- its going to be a windy afternoon! An incoming cold front this morning is coming in mainly dry, but a line of light showers is currently moving across the area. Behind that, the rest of the day will be dry, and temperatures won't fall much though the day. However, you'll notice the winds today. Winds will shift around to the West/Northwest, sustained between 15-25 mph. Wind gusts will push 35 mph this afternoon, even touching 40 mph at times. You'll want to stay aware if you'll be doing any driving on north-south oriented roads because the winds will mainly be from the west today. Because winds will be from the west, temperatures won't fall much this afternoon, we'll still warm into the low 70's. Tonight winds shift to the north west and this will help bring in the cooler air, with lows falling into the low 40's. Wind chills will be into the upper 30's as you wake up tomorrow morning because winds will continue to gust up to 25mph this evening and tomorrow morning.

The elevated fire danger continues this afternoon as well, with strong gusty winds and very low relative humidity. Burning anything today is high discouraged because of this, and be careful if you'll be out in the fields today!
