There is a line of storms spreading east over southern Wisconsin with embedded heavy rain, where 2-4.5" of rain has fallen. This line is also extending south over Freeport and is moving east. This will impact areas near Rockford, Pecatonica, and areas in Boone county that experienced flooding yesterday. An additional 0.5-1.00" of rain is possible in these storms, additional storm development is possible later today as well. Another 1.50" of rain is possible over portions of the Stateline throughthe afternoon.
Higher concentration of storms will be focused near the front, which should be positioned near and south of I-88, but to the north more scattered activity is likely. Heavy rain is possible in the highlighted area today, extending into Iowa, and east into Ohio due to a slow moving front. Additional localized flooding is possible in this area into Wednesday morning.
