Flood Advsiory Issued for the Rock and Kishwaukee Rivers

A Flood Advisory has been issued for both the Rock River at Byron and Dixon and for the Kishwaukee River at Belvidere until later this week.

The Flood Advisory for the Rock River at Dixon remains in effect until Tuesday afternoon.  Current stage is at 13.1ft - action stage is 13.0ft.  Minor flood stage is 16.0ft.  The Rock River is expected to fall through the week, with no minor or major flooding expected.

The Flood Advisory for the Rock River at Byron remains in effect until Thursday morning.  Current stage is 10.9ft - action stage is 10.5ft.  Minor flood stage is 13.0ft.  The Rock River is expected to fall by Thursday morning.  Until then, flooding in low lying areas along the river are possible.

The Flood Advisory for the Kishwaukee River at Belvidere remains in effect until Wednesday afternoon.  Current stage is 6.1ft - action stage is 6.0ft.  Minor flood stage is 9.0ft.  The Kishwaukee River is expected to rise to 6.6ft by Tuesday morning.  Low lying areas along the river could flood later this week.
