Our Cumulus radio partner Scot Bertram with WROK also shared this story with me from KSN-TV
A rather rare weather phenomenon was felt across parts of Kansas early this morning. A heat burst occurred overnight near Wichita, KS which caused the temperature to rise from 85° at 12:22 am to 102° at 12:42 am, just 20 minutes apart. Here is the write up from the Wichita NWS.
The same thing also occurred yesterday morning across parts of southern Wisconsin as a line of showers started to decay. Pretty cool, or hot?!? :)
