Chilly rain continues to fall; May mix with sleet/snow later today
This image is a surface plot of temperatures, dew points, wind speed/direction, pressure and current conditions. The low pressure is pretty much right over Muscatine, IA and will move east to just south of Chicago as indicated by current pressure falls ahead of the low. There is a brief break in the chilly rain across northwest Illinois but rain will likely begin to wrap back in as the low moves east. It's possible that as temperatures begin to cool into the afternoon and evening that a mix of sleet and wet snow could mix in before coming to an end later this evening.
