The radar is picking up on a few light rain and snow showers stretching from southern Wisconsin through northwest Illinois and into central Iowa right now. Although a lot of this precipitation is evaporating before reaching the ground initially, we'll eventually see some flakes flying through the air this evening. Initially, some light rain could mix-in with the snow.
With air and ground temperatures just above freezing, most of the snow will melt on contact. There could be a light dusting on some grassy surfaces north of Rockford, otherwise we're not expecting any accumulation.
