8:30 am Update:  Visibility has gone down now that the snow has moved in with many sites in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois reporting visibility less than 3 miles.

A Wind Advisory continues for northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin through late this afternoon.  Sustained winds remain between 25-35 mph with gusts already this morning near 50 mph.  The strong wind gusts will subside some tonight but still remain around 20 mph.

Along with the wind snow will also occur as a few upper level disturbances rotate around low pressure in Lake Superior.  Accumulating snow isn't anticipated, but with such strong winds today any snow that does fall will likely cause visibility to go down to less than a couple miles.  Where the snow was falling near white out conditions were being reported in northeast Iowa.  This, along with the wind, will impact travel today.
