Here are preliminary snow reports from Tuesday. The heaviest snow we saw took place at opposite ends of the viewing area - Whiteside and McHenry counties. Many cities in those areas saw well over six inches of snow. Take those two counties out of the mix, and snow totals ranged from about 2-5" across the Stateline.
