The Official Groundhog Forecast

Over the weekend, Woodstock Willie gave his official forecast for the rest of the winter. As I learned doing some research this morning, the movie "Groundhog Day" was filmed in Woodstock, so I think that gives Willie some serious street cred. So what was his official forecast?

Willie saw no shadow on Saturday, meaning an early spring for the Stateline! That's great news for people who hate the winter weather. As Candice mentioned on the blog this morning, the first four days of February have already accounted for over half of our seasonal snow total!

Taking a look at the extended forecast, maybe Willie is on to something. An inch or so of snow will be possible Tuesday, but temps will warm to around 40 by the weekend.
