August 24th is "Weather Complaint Day" here in the United States. It rarely receives attention, but it has been around for some time. With the very nice, fall-like weather we've been experiencing lately, it may be difficult to think of a weather complaint here locally. However, rain and storms are expected to move in late Tuesday night and Wednesday, which may prompt a few complaints. By the time we get to Friday, beautiful weather will return again for 24 hours.
That is perfect timing for a few events set to occur on Friday. First, Edwards Apple Orchard will open for the season. Secondly, high school football begins across the Stateline. Temperatures will reach the middle to upper 70's under mostly sunny skies. By the evening, temperatures will fall back into the upper 60's. So if you plan on venturing out to see your local high school football team compete, a light jacket may be necessary. Otherwise, it's going to be an absolutely perfect fall-like day!
