Southerly winds Sunday afternoon gave temperatures a nice little boost
with highs warming into the upper 40s and low 50s. Rockford officially
reached 51 degrees, the first time with a temperature over 50 degrees
since October 27th.
Incoming low pressure from the northwest will provide a few light
showers to move through northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin
overnight Sunday, into Monday morning. The rain isn't expected to be
heavy and totals should remain under a tenth of an inch.
There will still be a few light showers around through the morning, and
even into the afternoon following a cold front. Winds will increase
from the northwest Monday, gusting at times to 25 mph, with temperatures
cooling through the afternoon and evening.
