A few scattered storms to our north

8:25am Update: As the outflow boundary continues to push further south, there have been a few showers and rumbles of thunder that have developed along that track.

However as quickly as these storms develop, they are quickly fading back out.  Right now the outflow boundary is between Madison and Janesville, with a few new small storms developing just south of Madison.

If this holds together we may get a brief shower later this morning, especially in far southern Wisconsin.

A cluster of thunderstorms in northern and central Wisconsin overnight, and outflow boundaries ahead of the storms, helped push the warm front further south this morning.

A few storms are currently developing just behind the frontal boundary, to the north of Madison, in a line extending across much of the state.  Due to eastern flowing winds in the upper levels of the atmosphere, these storms are generally moving on a west-east track.

We will continue to track the movement of this frontal boundary and the outflow areas produced by these storms to see if anything else develops further south of the Madison area throughout the rest of the morning.
