July Precipitation and Temperature Outlook

The two graphics represent the outlook for July for temperature and precipitation.  On the top graphic, the darker colors represent temperatures well above normal, while the lighter colors mean not as far above normal.  According to the graphic, the Rockford area is pretty close to the darkest color, which means that temps in this area will be averaging well above normal.  In regards to the bottom graphic, areas with orange coloring represent below normal precipiation, while green areas show areas with above normal precipitation.  For the Rockford area, we are
in the darker orange color, which means July is looking to be well below normal for precipitation.  Let's hope this is wrong and we are able to make up our deficit of 6-9 inches below normal.  According to the HPC page, we will not be getting anymore than 0.5 inches of rain over the next 5 days.
