It was a scorcher around the Stateline today. Sterling was the hot spot breaking the century mark! Officially in Rockford, we got to 94°.

Tuesday looks to be even hotter with temps getting into the mid 90s and heat index values getting near 110°! Keep the water bottle handy and of course take plenty of breaks if you are working outside.

We stay dry through Tuesday and the cold front that moves through the area on Wednesday only looks to bring about 1/10" of rain. We are in a rain deficit recently, and the crops will use any help they can get. Here's this week's report. - MT
