| Forecast low expected to break cold low record |
Wind chill advisories are in place for the entire First Warn Weather viewing area until 9am Monday. Expect feels-like temps to bottom out at 20 to 30 below zero. Actual air temps will fall into the double digits below zero, which will shatter the record low temp of -4°F set back in 2002.
On Sunday, we also experienced very chilly air and only got to 9°F for a high temp at Rockford Airport. That's sets a new record for coldest high temp. That breaks a 100 year record of 14° set back in 1913. - MT
