Noticeably cooler this week

After a couple pretty muggy days, dew points and temperatures will be dropping as early as Monday afternoon.  While it might not be so much temperatures on Monday, the dew point will drop making it feel more comfortable.  Remember, dew point is a measure of moisture in the atmosphere.  The higher the dew point, the more moisture.  And the more moisture means the more humid it feels.

Dew points over the weekend were in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees.  That type of air mass is very tropical, and when numbers start to get that high it just feels very comfortable.  Monday morning, dew points will start in the 50's, but then drop into the low to mid 40's by the evening.  This is with a much cooler air mass that is bringing snow, yes snow, to the Northern Plains in North Dakota!  We won't see temperatures that cold, but highs on Tuesday and Wednesday may be stuck in the 50's.

After that, temperatures will moderate back into the 70's towards this next upcoming weekend.
