Summer like Afternoon, Rain for the Weekend

It you enjoyed yesterday's warm afternoon, where temperatures hit the upper 70's and low 80's, then you'll be a fan of today. Temperatures this afternoon will climb into the low 80s across the Stateline. Currently a warm front is surging north, allowing for strong southerly winds, gusting up to 30mph at times. This will help temperatures warm quickly, and temperatures are already very warm, sitting in the upper 70's. Looking towards later this afternoon and evening there is still a chance for a few isolated showers or storms. The jet stream is currently keeping the activity to the west, but it will break down and shift to the east allowing for a few upper level disturbances to move through. With more moisture and the added lift a few isolated storms or showers are possible. But with the strongest forcing still to the west, heavy rain or strong storm potential is very low. However, by the end of the weekend this looks to change with the storm threat shifting closer on Sunday.
