Record daily rainfall Tuesday

Tuesday's rainfall broke a daily rainfall record in Rockford.  The old record was 2.23" set back in 2005.  Yesterday's rainfall added up to 2.87"!  And with most of that coming down just within in a couple hours, flash flooding was the biggest threat.  While most of the flood waters have receded, there is still some standing water.

Other than a passing sprinkle or shower tonight, skies will remain dry until the weekend.
