Temperature roller coaster ride continues

Four days in the 90's over the weekend and earlier this week, followed by 80's on Tuesday and temperatures in the 60's today, it's been quite the temperature ride.  Strong low pressure in the upper Great Lakes pulled down a much more cooler air mass Wednesday afternoon and that air mass will be in place Thursday.

By Friday, winds shift around to the south giving temperatures a boost back to the low 80's - more seasonable for this time of year.  But no major warm up.  Another cool down will follow the passage of a cold front Sunday with highs dropping back into the 70's for the start of next week.

After that, though, models are indicating that a bigger warm up could be in store for the last few days of August and beginning of September.  Temperatures warming back near 90 degrees are very well possible.  So don't let this cooler weather fool you.  We've still got a lot more of summer to go.
