The snow will begin to taper off between 10pm and Midnight, but roads will remain slick
through the night and into tomorrow morning.  Whatever ice wasn't completely removed last week is now under the snow that has come down.  So on top of the already slick roads from the snow Sunday afternoon, parking lots and sidewalks will still be slick despite snow removal tonight.

Visibility is still close to a mile where some of the more steady snow is coming down this evening.

6:55pm Update: Beginning to see the moderate snow shift south and southeast of downtown Rockford this evening.  Snow will continue through 10pm, with accumulating snow ending around Midnight.

Winter Weather Advisories continue for all of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin through Midnight.  Light to moderate snow will continue to fill in across the Stateline, lasting through late Sunday evening.  Already close to three inches of snow has fallen, with likely an additional one to two inches by it comes to an end.

At times the snow has been mixed with freezing drizzle, making roads extra slick this afternoon.
The snow also fell on top of the frozen snow and ice from last week's winter storms.  This has made it very slick, especially on driveways, parking lots and side streets.

There is a little bit of a breeze from the east/northeast.  So some north/south roads may experience a little blowing snow through the evening.
