Storm Chances Continue to Fade Away Wednesday Evening

The threat for thunderstorms continues to fade away Wednesday with the passage of a cold front.  Ahead of the front temperatures warmed into the upper 80s and low 90s, with the heat index rising close to 100 degrees.

The front came through early in the afternoon not giving the atmosphere enough time to 'charge' for thunderstorm development.  Now that the front has passed the storm threat for the Stateline has decreased quite a bit.  We will see cloud cover rotate back in as low pressure passes though central and northern Wisconsin late Wednesday night and Thursday morning.  Highs on Thursday will warm close to 80 degrees.
