After an historic October snow storm bought much of the northeastern United States to a stand-still, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is expected to blame this and other recent extreme weather events on man-made climate change. (The IPCC is expected to release its latest document on adaptation to climate change later this month.) Here's an L.A. Times article explaining what the IPCC is expected to say in this document.
In the meantime, man-made climate change skeptics are blaming an unseasonably cold airmass and the Polar jetstream dipping unusually far south for this time of year. Here's an article explaining the skeptics' case.
