First Spring Freeze Possible this Weekend

It's not uncommon to get freezing temperatures in April.  Our average first spring freeze usually occurs towards the end of the month.  But temperatures leading into the weekend will be very cold with overnight lows Friday night dropping into the low to mid 20's.

With the anticipation of the cold, a Freeze Watch has been issued for Stephenson, Jo Daviess, Carroll and Whiteside counties beginning Friday night and lasting through Saturday morning.  Anything that may be sensitive to the cold should be either covered, or brought indoors.
