Impressive Spring Temperature Swing

Spring in the Stateline is known to show a wide range of temperatures and weather, but the temperature swing this Sunday was quite impressive. The single day, or diurnal, temperature swing in Rockford allowed us to see morning temperatures in the 20's and then afternoon temperatures in the mid to upper 70's. Rockford's official low was 27° and the official high was 75°, that's a temperature difference of 48° in one day! That ranked the 5th largest diurnal change for Rockford on record since 1905.

Temperatures today are actually a little warmer to start the day, unfortunately our temperature swing this afternoon won't be nearly as large. We'll only warm into the lower 40's, giving us a diurnal temperature range around 5-10°
