The rain that fell last night has moved out of the region, which has allowed some patchy fog/mist to form this morning.
Visibility across the entire Stateline was under 3 miles with a few
places
closer to 0 at one point this morning. A current look at visibility
shows that is the case still. But there has been a slight improvement,
especially in the western portion of the Stateline.
If
you encounter any fog heading out this morning, please take extra
caution while driving to your destination. Make sure that there is
enough space between your car and the car in front of you in case of an
unexpected stop.
Now you won't need the umbrella today as things look to remain dry for the rest of your Friday. Today will be the first in a string of warm and above average days. High's this afternoon will top out close to 60°. And temperatures will only continue to climb as we head into Saturday and Sunday.
It's all thanks to a high pressure system that is going to move east of the region as we head into our Saturday. With the way a high pressure spins, it will transport warm moist air from the south and bring it into the Stateline.
All I have to say is "it's about time". Honestly, we deserve spring-like temperatures after how winter has treated us. Temperatures both Saturday and Sunday will feature highs near the 70° mark. We will be quiet for most of the day and night for Saturday. Increasing clouds throughout the day with a high of 68°.
Then heading into Sunday morning, that is when we will see our first chance for some rain. Rain chances will continue through our Sunday with some isolated rumbles of thunder possible during the evening. Expect high temperatures yet again to top out near 70°. We continue to see above average temperatures for the start of the work week! Have a wonderful weekend!
