A Little Light Snow and Then Back Down Into the Deep Freeze

A weak area of low pressure near Sioux City Iowa will continue to weaken further as it moves eastward across Iowa tonight, and northern Illinois on Sunday. There could be a little light snow after midnight tonight as the low approaches, and light snow will be likely on Sunday as it moves across trhe area. Accumulations are not expected to amount to more than 1". There could be some light snow or flurries on Sunday night, but not much more than an additional dusting is expected. An arctic front will be tugged down following the low as it moves east on Sunday night. It will be very cold for much of the coming week with arctic air dominating the area.
