Storms w/ Rain & Wind

I've been in touch with Meteorologist Candice King this afternoon as she's heading home from work. She's given me reports of storms with heavy rain and high wind impacting Boone, DeKalb, McHenry, and (eventually) Rock counties. Wind gusts over 40 mph, reduced visibilities, and ponding on the roadways will make travel difficult this afternoon to the north and east of Rockford. Please keep that in mind, and drive safely!  --TS
